Closed or Open Adoption...?
We have experienced a realm of different things in regards to open, semi-open and closed adoption. Christie is adopted and has had a successfully closed adoption her entire life. It fits her parents and her perfectly. However, when we adopted the girls in 2001 and 2003, views of open vs closed adoptions had changed quite a bit in 30 years!
It would be our pleasure to discuss with you what level of openness you desire. With our girls' birth families we have semi-open/open adoptions. We love to correspond with them and send them things such as updates, photos, letters, & gifts. Emailing back and forth is also a great benefit for each of us, as we can talk to each other at the click of a mouse, if the birthmothers desire.
Your Baby...?
We will be providing a personal web page dedicated for your baby once he/she is born. This page is set aside to show the growth, development and progress of this special little person. It has been a blessing to us to know that even now the girls' birth families could be watching the website to see more updates as they happen as well as the photos of the girls Christie has added! Isn't it great to know that with one click, you will be able to watch your baby learn, grow and progress as the years go on? It is about LOVE...
We want you to know that even though we do not know you we still have a deep and abiding love for you and the precious baby you carry. We think and pray for you both often. If you should choose our family to adopt this little one, we are dedicated to loving them and showing them the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our promise to you that your child will always have an important place in our family and be loved and adored.
